👻Halloween: TRICK OR TREAT TIP 2 part of 3 🎃
🍎Caramel apples just warm my heart during the Halloween Season❣️
They are not as tricky to make as they look🍎
My kids still love unwrapping the caramels for me when helping to prepare this delightful treat.
Let me show you how to make them simply and easily❣️Even the kids will love dipping them.
TRICKS & TIPS
-To prevent your caramel from slipping off your apple, (which I learned the hard way food styling them for a photo shoot!) just wash your apples thoroughly with dish soap using your hands or soft sponge. Then dry completely with paper or kitchen towels. The apples have a wax film on them so this method will remove that wax film so the caramel sticks on the apple
-Use cinnamon sticks instead of popsicle sticks for a pretty presentation
-Have an assortment of candies, sprinkles, chopped cookies, nuts or mini marshmallows for the kids to dip in
-Drizzle with white chocolate to give the apples a spider web look for the finishing touch
My Halloween Caramel Dipped Apples recipe is just a tap away in the link in my BIO❣️
Happy Tricks or Treats to you and your family❣️
En- JOY ❌⭕️
My daughters loved unwrapping the caramels the night before our big Halloween party every year with family and friends since it made them even more excited for the festivities to come. Have the kids make their own and they’ll love them even more. Use these suggested dippers or have fun using your own favorite toppings.
Caramel Dipped Apples
1 package (11 ounces) caramels
Melt caramels according to package directions.
4 apples
Wash and dry apples thoroughly so caramel adheres to them.
Dip apples according to package directions.
Topping suggestions:
Assorted nuts, chopped
Chocolate sandwich cookies or orange colored sandwich cookies, chopped
Pretzels, chopped
Decorative sprinkles
Mini marshmallows
Candy bars, chopped
Flaked coconut
Candy corn
Candy coated candies
White, dark or milk chocolate, melted
Dip apples in desired toppings and then drizzle with melted chocolates.
Makes 4 caramel apples.
TIP: Have apples all ready to go on parchment covered paper plates so kids can easily bring them home after they dip them.
TIP; Use cinnamon stickes instead of popsicile stickes for a festive look!
